It was our annual Breast Cancer Fundraising Afternoon Tea yesterday, so Show and Tell was a bit sparse with only one quilt being shown, luckily it is a real cutie, lots of caricature animals with the sweetest faces. Val .."Just had to make it, because I had the pattern"!, ....what other reason is needed?. It is just one of the quilts that Val will have for sale at the Christmas Fair
and a little peek at Jackie's newest WIP, a 'shabby' in lovely soft colours.
Talking of colour, I spied this in the kitchen
The most beautiful red raspberry jam, home made of course, by Marcia's Darling, and sent along to top some of the lightest scones ever created.
We certainly were spoiled for choice, lots of volunteers bringing along a selection of goodies, but special thanks to Marcia and her Darling, and to Fran who gave us ginger cake, ginger biccies and yummy sausage rolls.
It was all very much enjoyed, as you can see....
It was then on to the fun part of the arvo, lots of tickets were sold for a chance to win one of the many surprise parcels,
Some of the varied prizes and their happy new owners.
There was a bit of arvo tea left over, so we plated it up and sold it off..........some lucky hubbies got a treatie late arvo tea! and we got more $$$'s towards our fundraising. All up we raised $142, not bad for a fun arvo tea.
