A very special Birthday for a very special lady...

Yes, we had one of those milestone birthdays, one of those that end in an 0.  A fuss was made, - yeah, just love makin' a fuss for those special birthdays.
Flowers were presented...

Beautiful roses grown by our fave flower man Les and arranged by Marie.

and of course cake
along with a yummo arvo tea, delish sandwiches, dips and for an extra special, Patricia's wonderful home made shortbread....
Yep,
A great day
Oh yeah, we did have show and tell...

Firstly, Karen sent us a pic of this amazing nappy holder she made for her new Grandie,
we did get to see it slightly unfinished 'in the flesh' before it was whisked away.
Marie had quite the collection of charity quilts to share...
Another take on H.S.T's

There are two of this cutie, as Marie said, the fabric was just too cute to cut up so two dear little bear quilts
Innovatively quilted with a lazy meander so as not to detract from the bears.

Another great idea to use up a 'too cute to cut' fabric, add wide borders for a quickly constructed quilt.
and finally, a vibrant sashed 'I Spy'
Denise had been making an I spy and had these squares left over, what to do with them?  give them to Marie of course!
