Marlene's Trunk Show

After much delay, for which I do apologise, we finally have Marlene's Trunk Show for your enjoyment.
Thanks again to Debbie and Letitia for the pics and words.

Marlene amazed us with all her quilts. She has made so many for family & friends & many more that she has given away over the short years she has been quilting. Thank you Marlene for sharing your beautiful creations with us. We had a great night.

Marlene began patchwork in 1988 at Waverley, Victoria.

Marlene's traditional sampler quilt, all hand pieced.
This gorgeous Wedding Ring quilt was her 2nd quilt she made. Marlene made it for her daughter Maureen, again hand quilted, the colours have faded over the years but just lovely.
A very complicated pattern for your second quilt. Very clever girl.

Reversable blocks (log cabin) these were left overs from a quilt she made for her son.

ABC quilt for her grandchild

Red & green Irish chain with shamrock quilting
Marlene always made a bag for each quilt she made. How impressive is that!

This quilt made for her daughter 16 years ago. She lives up in the tropics & fabric fades even if it doesn't see the sun.

Oh, this is gorgeous Marlene, a reverse log cabin in vibrant colours. Maybe you could do a class on reverse log cabin some time?

Marlene has made five of these Xmas quilt. She made one & everyone wants one!! She is a good mum.

Marlene has made a Redwork pieced & stitched quilt, lovely.

Second smaller quilt made with leftover fabrics, very cute.

A Kaleidoscope quilt in reds & greens.

This was a kit. The Outback quilt.

Oh this is a warm, snuggly flannelette rag quilt. We should all have at least one of these in our homes on these cold winter nights.

Crazy blocks, June's sampler quilt.

Pink & green puzzle quilt. The quilting cost more than the fabric.
More of Marlene's wonderful quilts in part 2.

Marlen's Trunk Show Part 2

A continuation of Marlene's wonderful quilts of which there are so many I've split the Trunk Show into two posts.

Marlene made this Lone star quilt at a Bli Bli retreat.

A Ricky Tims workshop quilt.

Marlene made this signature quilt for her daughters 40th birthday

This is Marlene’s favourite quilt. It was a round robin - gorgeous poppies

Floral fabrics made into a pin wheel quilt.

A fun class when June showed us how to make a star quilt.

This was a Lyn Ballenger challenge a few years ago. "Buffalo" very cute.

This was a Mystery quilt organised by Penny a few years ago. This quilt has popped up a few times in our Trunk Show & Tells. Every month a new instruction & pattern was given. It was fun.

This is a fat 1/4 quilt with wide boarders.

Another round robin mystery quilt that Marlene did with her Bli Bli girls. The fabrics are Jenny Beyer Lots of dogs & more dogs.
Yes another gorgeous Xmas runner with Santa’s & his reindeers. I think there are a few girls who would like to make this from the chatter
How sweet a little something from everyone in the family. A happy reminder at Xmas. A lovely idea Marlene.

Another of Junes inspiring classes making Hidden Wells

More Poppies, do you think Marlene likes poppies?

And there’s more... Letitia called this quilt the Opium field!

Look at these Bossy Stitchers I bet they get up to a bit of mischief!!! Every picture tells a story, doesn’t it girls!!
