We have our 'Quilters Party Face' on

yep, everything is in readiness for our Quilt Show and Sale, we have even hung some rather interesting quilting inspired decorations throughout the trees and around the quiet corner at the front of the Cottage.
Inside the Cottage is a visual feast, I kid you not, this has got to be our best Quilt Show and Sale yet!
(what do you mean, prejudiced?, not me, this is a totally unbiased opinion.....  honest it is)

The gals have everything from traditional designed quilts to the totally whimsical such as the "Don't Waste a Thing' bag created by Lorraine, who saves and uses everything fabric related stating "Well I paid for it so I might as well use it"

including an amazing quilt from Leanne with its beautiful story of love and family that will bring a tear to your eye

There are some 'Baltimore' style quilts such as this lovely from Sue
an intricate but more traditional design from Helen

A beautifully hand appliqued wall hanging, inspired by a Richard Hoffman drawing created by Gwen.

A machine appliqued quilt from Marie that I was sure was needle turned, it is so neat.

and lastly, just a tinsie peek at some of the wonderful goodies on offer.
Do hope you can join us for this wonderful Show of beautiful quilts.

Look what I found....

Well it certainly is time for an update on so may levels, and finding this fab foto of Sheila and Lorraine on the front page of our local paper is just the incentive needed.

And just what are these two gals doing lolling around on the ground wrapped in quilts? well it is all about the show, our Quilt Show and Sale that is, and yes it is this weekend, Friday 5th. through to Sunday 7th. so if you are in the area, do pop in and feast your eyes on some wonderful quilting candy and of course some of that candy is for sale, along with some smaller quilted items for gifts or just to spoil yourself.

There has been so much excitement and quite the quilting frenzy by all the gals to get ready for this show, which promises to be our best show yet, including the innovative ideas for the Lyn Ballinger Challenge, which was to use all of a 5" piece of blue Fossil Fern fabric in creating a place mat.
As you can see from this small selection, there have been some very innovative ideas.

All of the place mats will be used as lucky door prizes and each entrant to the show will get to choose a quilted bookmark.

Another glimpse of what will be at the Show, a pic of one of Gwen's quilts keeping a young lad warm and toasty while catching up on his reading.
Do hope you can join us for some fun and perhaps even make time to enjoy a cuppa and something yummy to nibble on.
