There was great excitement at the drawing of the winning entries for our raffle quilts
1st Prize 'Shikon' (on the left above) was won by one of our long time members Betty H.
Betty and her Darling were thrilled to win, with Betty saying she was honoured to win such a lovely quilt, "the quilt is beautifully stitched and the quilting is a delight".
'Shikon' is now proudly in use on their bed.
Sue created 'Shikon' from fabrics anonymously donated by one of our generous group members and the quilting was done by long arm quilter and member Judy of Furball Farm Quilting.
2nd Prize 'Joyce's Plates' was won by Jenny E. from Amamoor - Congratulations Jenny!
Joyce's Plates was created by long time member Joyce and was quilted by member Letitia, on her new long arm quilting machine with advice from Judy.
Joyce also created the lovely pillow sham you can see pinned to the front of the table above.
Funds raised by the raffle tickets sales will go to Cittamini Hospice in Palmwoods (Sunshine Coast Queensland.
As you can see, there were lots of lovely kits, patterns, fabric, thread and other goodies for sale from two of our local Patchwork Stores.

Over the next week or so, all of the Show Quilts will be posted to the blog in small groups, so if you were unable to join us at the show, or would just like to re-visit a fave quilt they will all appear, in no particular order, just as they were photographed.
