Debby is the photographer for the Thursday night girls while Letitia provides the words, thanks to both of you for making it possible for us all to enjoy these Trunk Shows - A

We loved this quilt Jackie.  She made it for her brothers 60th, six years ago.

Jackie created this quilt in 2007, roses, roses everywhere - do you think Jackie might love roses!!. Quilted by Judy of Furball Farm quilting.

Lovely Shabby quilt in pastels.

Jackie  used Kaffe Fassett Fabrics for this one, Shelling Peas, pieced by hand 3 years ago and quilted by Judy of Furball Farm Quilting, Lots more roses!.

Oh my goodness!, Check out the postage stamp blocks, all pieced by hand.  Jackie said there are approx 3000 x 1" squares, Wow - and she finished quilting it today.  Amazing.

Hand Pieced in 2008 and recently quilted by longarm quilter, Judy of Furball Farm.

Jackie was living in New York in 1988 and would go out each week looking for blue and brown fabrics.  Made for her son and yes, it is handpieced.

Lovely quilt in beautiful floral fabrics, machine pieced with a black backing.  Quilted by longarm quilter Judy of Furball Farm using a striking green thread.

Wow Jackie, you have used fabulous fabrics in this quilt.

A very bright quilt, the pattern is from New Zealand, and uses 6.5" and 12.5" squares edged with 2.5" squares.the binding went on last week.

Two table runners, including a lovely Christmas table runner.

Jackie did this experimental piece at a workshop in Coffs Harbour, couching in circles.

This gorgeous quilt has been machine pieced by Jane Biddulph.  Yes it has been in progress for some time but now it has been completed and it looks amazing.  Letitia has done a lovely job of quilting it for Jane.

A few years ago 9 girls worked on a round robin.  Each girl chose her own theme.  This is Debby's 'Happy Baby' quilt.  She was thrilled with the beautiful quilting done by Letitia. Thanks Letitia x.

Jackie's Trunk Show - Part 2

Jackie hand pieced this Bethlehem Star and made the cute Santa whilst living in Hong Kong
The gorgeous Angel was made at a class in L.A.  A chubby version of a stuffed Christmas Tree, trimmed with ribbons.

We loved this Reindeer. Jackie used a sock to create his head.

This much loved quilt was made by Jackie for her Mum in 1990, hand pieced and hand quilted it has faded somewhat with use.

Using large blocks of a  lovely floral print with alternating star blocks, Jackie machine pieced this quilt but has hand quilted it.  The wall hanging is a signature quilt made in 1990 at a retreat in Melbourne with the Waverley Group.  Jackie finished it last week

Two Wall Hangings, the first a Japanese Geisha in her Kimono and the second of stylised Christmas Trees.

Started in 1987 this 'Roses and Hearts' was finished recently.

An early quilt made with Laura Ashley fabrics, a lovely deep border all hand quilted.

Jackie made this colourful 9 Patch quilt for her Grandson in 2001

Made for her Mum in 1999 while she was in a nursing home, Jackie hoped that 'Lucy' the doll would bring happy memories back to her Mum.

A bright and Happy quilt for her 18month old grandson.  Originally tied Jackie then decided to add big quilting stitches.

Lots of drooling, and admiring of the tiny blanket stitches, on Lyn's new project today.  A couple of peeks at the borders of what is going to be a stunning kiddies quilt.

When Janet's 'scraps' were donated Julie was lucky enough to snaffle enough to make 2 quilts she will be donating to STEMM, she bought this one in today to share with us.

'There's a Bear in There', is what Marie has named this wonderful quilt she is making for a new Mum from her church.  It's being rushed off to the quilters to be ready for gifting when Mum and Bub come home from the hospital
Marie purchased the fabric at the Brisbane Quilt Show and decided the bears were just perfect for centers of these crazy Log Cabin blocks.

While scooting around the web Innes spotted this quilt in flannel fabrics from one of her fave fabric designers.....urrgh....for the life of me I can't think of the name, it has just slipped between the cracks of the old brain.  You all know who I mean though don't you??!!
Anyway it is stunning in the cutest motifs and lovely bright colours.
Innes' Grandies are of the 'teenage' group, so she is keeping this one for herself to snuggle under.  How could you have the winter blues under a quilt like this!

Julie won a fabric bundle as a door prize at the Patchwork Angel and turned the fabric into this great Table Runner.  Her Mum just fell in love with the colours but sadly the runner was not the right size for her table, so Julie 'ran up' these two place mats for her Mum this morning and bought them along to finish the binding while sitting and chatting today.

Jackie's Trunk Show - Part 1

Another wonderful trunk show presented to the Thursday night girls, this time the Wednesday arvo girls were also lucky enough to have Jackie bring along her huge array of crafting works.
Thanks again to Debby and her helpers for the pics and words.

Jackie has been very creative from a very young age.  Most of her quilts, wall hangings, table runners etc. are hand sewn.  It's Jackie's passion.  Only a couple of the quilts from her show and tell have been machine pieced.
Here Jackie shows off some of her earlier fancy needlework.  Doily, A trapunto cushion cover, macrame - I think we have all done one of those!! and a needlepoint sampler in greens.

More pillows, all hand stitched.

Jackie continued to make these 9 green blocks after doing a previous course.

A lovely felt worked Christmas Tree skirt with sequins

Two more examples of Jackie's lovely needle point cushions.

Jackie made this folded star in 1984 at a class in America.

Jackie used flannelette as wading in this pineapple design quilted wall hanging.  All hand stitched and hand quilted.

Amish Doll and a lovely Chinese Coin design wall hanging.

A lovely navy and cream wall hanging with lots of flying geese!

Jackie's string pieced quilt.
