Yep, another Christmas season has bitten the dust, the lead up seems to get busier every year.
The Christmas Fair was another success, lots of lovely goodies were sold to happy purchasers, oh, and talking of purchasers, did you make this advent calendar?
It was purchased by a Gentleman at our Fair in 2017 for his granddaughter, and he now needs a duplicate for his younger grandson.
If you are the creator, give Sheila a bell or e-mail me for the Gentleman's contact details
Christmas Luncheon was the usual fun affair, lots of laughter and 'quilters' games, thanks to Marcia and Wendy. Wendy read a poem of instructions and totally confused everyone, herself included and Marcia introduced us to 'Christmas Two Up', she really needed her Dad's old kip to catch the coins, mainly they landed on the floor and had to be recovered, fun in itself.
Sheila was presented with a lovely timber clock for all of her hard work throughout the year. She has it on the mantle surrounded by pics of her Darling and the Grandies.
Marie spotted said timepiece on our recent visit to the Gympie Quilt show and just knew with all of Sheila's past connections with the Qld Forrestry Dept that it was the perfect Thank You Gift for her.
Sheila loves the clock and heartily thanks everyone in the group for her gift.
Last meeting of the year included the Najidah 'Open Christmas Tree' where members donate Christmas gifts for kiddies of all ages and their Mums.
Lots and lots of gifts were bought along to pass on to Najidah.
Looks like beach bags and totes were aplenty, perfect gift for days by the sea.
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and is looking forward to a quilty new year with lots of inspiration for the Quilt Exhibition.
