An unusual Bargello and more...

Sheila and Lorraine went shopping and met some lovely ladies  at 24 Richardson St, Pacific Paradise, limited times of Mon 9a.m. - 4p.m. and Sat 9a.m. - 1p.m.

Loads of bargains, and not such a drive, approx 10mins from the Cottage.  Make an adventure of the day and grab a coffee at 'Picnic' stroll through the park to sit and gaze out to Mudjimba Island from the beachside viewing platform

Aahhhh, the serenity!

Sheila has been rather busy with this lovely.

Sheila "This is my first ever  original wheelchair lap quilt.
The top section has a kangaroo & Pocket.
The lower section is from a crossword puzzle. It is for my dear friend Ruth Blom who turns 99 in December and the kangaroo reminds her of when she lived next door to me and kangaroos would visit.

The reverse is made of flannel with a secret heart pocket"

Sheila also shared some lovelies from the girls last Wednesday

Sue W with her beautiful work in progress

Lorelie with her circular bargello & her ‘ 3x great grandmothers garden’ It is for her 4 year old granddaughter. The centre embroidery is done by her great grandmother

Lots of updates from some of our members...

...none of whom are letting the grass grow under their feet, or to put it another way,W.I.P's are not becoming U.F.O's

Firstly a couple of pics and a description from Sue A.

The first box bag is made from old silk neck ties and the blue box bag is made of hand dyed fabric. They are both lined so no raw edges but not as hard to make as you may think.

Jackie has completed this lovely.

Jackie "My Mirabella quilt I have hand stitched from January into the early days of our lockdown, this is a quilt topper size 64x64 inches. The pattern is by Margaret Sampson George."

More pics and words from Sheila

Karen W with her beautiful sewing box, open showing all the compartments

showing the front, with some more of Karen's small hexies.

Lyn with her one block wonder Quilt.  Sue taught the  difficult process last year.

Lots of great input from Michell.

Pat putting together stripes and triangles

Yolanda from Thursday night has been making this ‘ Star a day’ quilt. She started it a few years ago, to start it was a star a year.

Stella’s beautiful hand embroidered and hand quilted quilt. Obviously she finished this before she broke both her wrists. Don’t thunk she will be doing too much for awhile

Marcia finished this gorgeous quilt in time for her daughter’s birthday.

Sue’s Broderick Perse piece.

My (Michelle's) roll is finished, ta Da!!

Love this quilt of Marion’s

Wendy is having a lovely time with her new sewing machine.
